Teenage mum gives birth to twins but dies 48 hours later before ever holding them!

Sophie Burgess, 20, gave birth to girl twins Evie and Oliver 8 weeks prematurely and was immediately utilized in another department due to be able to complications.

Sophie, by Telford, Shropshire, started to feel aches so she and her partner Alex visited the town’s Princes Royal Hospital before being utilized in Wolverhampton’s New Cross Medical.
Both babies were given birth to eight weeks prematurely. Oliver was created naturally and Evie through Caesarean section.
Sophie was conscious once they were born but never reached meet her children due to the fact she suffered complications and was utilized in another department.
Her buddy Craig, 23, said: “It is sad that my sister never reached hold her children but Alex hasn’t left their side due to the fact. They are out from the incubators now and both look like doing well.
“They are perfect and Sophie would have been so proud of these individuals. The main message is i just don’t want my sister to become forgotten”.
Now Sophie’s relatives and buddies are looking to shell out tribute to her. Friend Ria Norris has setup a fundraising page in Sophie’s memory to manufacture a trust fund to help the babies while they grow up.
It states that: “Sophie was so excited to become a mother. We hope to raise money in Sophie’s memory so that their dad Alex can use this towards items they could need or to put in a trust fund with the twins. ”
Olivia and also Evie were born upon Wednesday evening at around 11: 00pm and Sophie Burgess died on Friday morning.
Sophie’s mum, Amanda Burgess, 46, stated: “Sophie was my merely daughter and despite being devastated all people are supporting each other to be a family.
“Sophie and the girl boyfriend, Alex, lived acquainted with me while she was pregnant and we will be helping him alongside his family to create up the twins when they escape hospital.
“He has been a fantastic dad to Olivia and Evie until now.
“Our family friend who had been like a sister to be able to Sophie, Ria Norris, decided to setup the fundraising page for the girl so we may help Alex and the twins in the future.
“Sophie contracted septicaemia after having a baby to her twins, the excuse for this is still unknown even so the hospital have been conducting his or her investigations.
“We are at this point planning Sophie’s funeral.
Severe Illness: An investigation has been launched into the mum’s death at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton
Jonathan Odum, medical movie director of Wolverhampton’s New Cross Hospital, said: “Sadly Sophie developed a severe illness pursuing the birth of her twins that she deteriorated very swiftly.
“Despite the best efforts from the medical and nursing staff caring for her, she passed away on the critical care unit a couple of hours later.
“The staff in the maternity department and the critical care unit have been deeply affected by Sophie’s death and the trust want to pass on it’s empathy and condolences to her relatives and buddies.
“An investigation into the reason for her death is currently being carried out. “.
