Women has been left which has a bizarre phobia of DINOSAURS immediately after watching Jurassic Park as a child.
Victoria Jones, 31, first watched the prehistoric picture when she was aged just seven and it has been constantly on the be aware of velociraptors – a style of meat-eating dino featured inside movie – ever due to the fact.
The mother-of-two always plans her escape in the event of a potential attack when she is on trips and refuses to go out alone at night.
Your wildlife volunteer from Herstmonceux, Eastern Sussex, said: “My fear started in the first ever time We watched the film.
“In particular I’m severely afraid of velociraptors and also the scenes with them freaked me out a whole lot as a kid it sparked a prolonged fear.
“I know it’s silly because dinosaurs don’t occur now, but I’ve tried so hard to have over it and I can’t just change it off. ”.
Victoria, who is mum to Owain, several, and Cerys, 19 a few months, claims her heartbeat will increase and her breathing becomes erratic at thinking about dinosaurs.
She said: “In the day time I literally go to my car to strap inside kids, constantly looking vertical the lane and around to test, then I quickly soar in and slam the doorway after me.
“When I’m out I’m constantly planning an escape route and hiding place in case a velociraptor rocks upwards.
“I am so scared of dinosaurs that we can’t go out alone in the dark. ”.
It was the famous kitchen scene from the original Jurassic Park, where the children hide from a velociraptor in a kitchen cupboard, that triggered Victoria’s unusual fear.
Despite this, she still went on to watch the other two films.
She said: “Because it was the actual ‘done thing’ I watched the other films in the series but they just made me even worse.
“My son and spouse were watching a film inside the living room last week and I could really feel my heart beating along with my hands sweating. I realised it has been Jurassic Park and I had to keep these things switch it off.
“I’m dreading the modern film (Jurassic World) released because it’s set inside a city. I’ll be constantly worrying about dinosaurs seen. ”.
Although Victoria is not scared of dinosaur characters on the television, for example Barney, she does struggle to play with her son’s dinosaur toys.
She also recently went to a dinosaur trail at Paradise Park, but was so scared of the lifelike moving structures that she cried.
Victoria said: “My friends and loved ones think my dinosaur phobia is hilarious. No-one takes it seriously and it also does make me experience really silly.
“It literally rules my life. I often wake up in the heart of the night sweating because I’ve had a pain about being chased by way of velociraptor and having to rescue my family and friends.
“It usually ends with us all hiding out inside loft. ”.
